This Analyst Agreement applies to you if you publish picks on ForBets. It is part of, and is read together with, the Terms of Service. If the two differ for analysts, this Agreement prevails.
Applying and approval
You apply from your account with your sports, experience and biography. Our team reviews every application, usually within 1 to 3 business days, and may accept, decline or ask for more. We do not have to give a reason. You promise that what you tell us is true and that your links and portfolio are yours.
You are independent
You are an independent seller, not our employee, partner or agent. You decide what to publish and the prices of your picks and subscription plans. You are responsible for your own taxes and for any licence or registration that the law requires for what you do.
Publishing picks
- Publish only picks that are your own honest analysis. Do not copy other analysts, and do not publish after the event has started.
- Once a pick is published its odds and event time are locked, and it can no longer be edited or deleted. Check it before you publish.
- A pick is settled by the result of the event. Do not manipulate results, delete or hide losing picks, or publish picks you know to be wrong.
- Do not promise guaranteed wins or profits, and do not use language that suggests a result is certain.
- Do not target minors, and follow the rules on gambling advertising that apply in the places where you publish.
Your public profile
Your name, photo, biography and links are public. Changes to them are held for review by a moderator and appear once approved. Your record, win rate and reviews are calculated by us from your published picks and the reviews of buyers, and you cannot edit them. You may not buy your own picks or ask for fake reviews.
Fees and earnings
We keep a platform fee from the sales that stay with you. The fee, shown as a percentage in your Payments page, is taken from the net of sales, which is the gross sales less refunds. Earnings from a pick reach your balance once its event is over, and until then they are pending. If an event is cancelled, the buyers are refunded and the sale does not count. Earnings from sales are not betting returns.
We may change the fee with notice, and the change applies to sales made after the notice period.
Payouts
You can request a withdrawal of your available balance to a bank account or a crypto address that you have added. Withdrawals need two-factor authentication, are reviewed and approved before they are sent, and follow the minimum and maximum amounts shown when you request them. The fee of the blockchain network is taken from the amount. Payouts may be held or refused to check for fraud, for refunds and chargebacks that are still possible, or when the law requires it. If a reversal takes your balance below zero, new sales cover it before you can withdraw.
Subscription plans
If you offer subscription plans, readers who subscribe keep their access and keep paying for the plan they chose, even if you later archive it. You cannot close your analyst profile or your account while you have active subscribers or published or settled picks.
Licence to your content
You keep the rights to your picks and texts. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, show, promote and distribute them on and about the site, including in search results, previews and our newsletter, for as long as they are on the site, and afterwards as far as we must keep records. Buyers receive a personal right to read what they bought.
Ending
You can stop being an analyst from your account, when the conditions above allow it. We can suspend or remove your analyst profile, hold earnings and close the account if you break this Agreement or the Terms, or if the law requires it. Earnings that are yours and not subject to a refund or a claim will be paid out.
