These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and ForBets (“we”, “us”), the operator of ForBets. They apply to the website and to everything you do on it: reading picks, news and analyst profiles, creating an account, buying picks, subscribing to analysts, and publishing as an analyst.
Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree with the Terms, do not use the site.
What ForBets is
ForBets is an online platform where independent analysts publish sports predictions (“picks”) and readers can follow, buy or subscribe to them. The site also shows sports events, odds as published by the analysts, sports news and statistics of each analyst’s published record.
We are not a bookmaker, a betting exchange or a casino. We do not accept, place or handle bets and we do not hold stakes or winnings. A pick is the opinion of the analyst who published it. It is not personal, financial or betting advice, and it is never a promise of a result.
Who may use the site
You must be at least 18 years old, or older if the law of the place where you live sets a higher age for betting-related content. You may use the site only where doing so is lawful. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you, including those on gambling.
To use the account features you must give accurate information, keep it up to date, and have only one account. If you act for a company, you confirm that you may bind it.
Your account
You can sign up with an email address and a password, or with Google or Apple. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your sign-in details safe. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication in the security settings.
Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to your account. If you recover your account with your recovery phrase, two-factor authentication is turned off, your other devices are signed out, and purchases and payouts are paused for 24 hours to protect you.
You can delete your account in your account settings. Some accounts cannot be deleted while obligations are open, for example an analyst profile that still has published picks or active subscribers.
Buying picks and subscriptions
Analysts set the prices of their picks and subscription plans. The price, currency and, for a subscription, the billing period are shown before you pay. A pick is unlocked for you once the payment is confirmed. A subscription gives you access to the picks that the analyst includes in it for as long as the subscription is active.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time in Account, Subscriptions. After you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing more is charged.
- Payments are made through third-party payment providers, for example by card through Stripe, or in cryptocurrency. We do not see or store your full card number. The provider’s own terms apply to the payment.
- Prices may include or exclude taxes depending on where you are. You are responsible for any taxes on your own gains.
- If a payment is declined or fails, access is not granted, or is put on hold until the payment succeeds.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Money returned to you, for example for a cancelled match, is credited to your wallet on the site.
Analysts
If you want to publish picks you must apply to become an analyst. Our team reviews every application, usually within 1 to 3 business days, and may accept or decline it. Analysts are independent: they are not our employees, partners or agents, and what they publish is their own.
Analysts are also bound by the Analyst Agreement, which covers publishing rules, fees, earnings and payouts.
Reviews, comments and other content
You may post reviews of analysts, comments on news and a public profile. You keep the rights to what you write, and you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and distribute it on the site for as long as it is there. You promise that it is yours to post and that it is lawful.
Do not post anything that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, misleading or abusive, that contains personal data of others, that is spam, or that advertises gambling to minors or in places where it is not allowed. Reviews should reflect your real experience with picks you bought. A review cannot be changed or deleted after it is posted.
We may remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules. Edits to a public profile may be held for moderation before they appear.
What you must not do
You agree not to:
- share, resell, copy or republish picks you bought, or give other people access to your account to read them;
- get around paywalls, limits or security measures, or use automated tools to collect content from the site;
- create several accounts to abuse offers, ratings or reviews, or post fake or paid-for reviews;
- dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer in bad faith, or use the site for fraud or money laundering;
- interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or attack other users;
- use the site if you are under the legal age or in a place where it is not allowed.
Intellectual property
The site, its design, software, logo and name belong to us or our licensors. The picks, texts and profiles published by analysts belong to those analysts, who license them to us to show to you. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to read what you have access to for your own use. Nothing else is licensed.
News items show a short excerpt and a link to the original source, which belongs to its publisher.
Third-party links and partners
The site may link to other sites and may show banners of partners such as bookmakers. Some of these links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you use them. We do not control those sites, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for what they offer or how they treat you. Always check that an operator is licensed where you live.
No warranties
The site and everything on it, including odds, statistics, scores and picks, is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted or free of errors, and odds and events may change after a pick is published. Betting involves a risk of loss, and past results of an analyst do not predict future ones.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any losses from bets or decisions you make using picks or other content, for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in the Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your rights as a consumer under the law of your country are not affected.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, remove content or refuse a payment if you break the Terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect users and the site. Where we close an account without a fault of yours, we will return what you have paid for access you did not get.
Parts of the Terms that by their nature should continue after the account ends, such as those on content, liability and disputes, continue.
Changes to the Terms
We may change the Terms, for example when the site or the law changes. We will publish the new version here with its date, and for important changes we will tell you on the site or by email. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
Governing law and disputes
If you have a problem, please write to us first and we will try to solve it. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply, and you may bring a claim in the courts that have jurisdiction under those rules.
