Frequently asked questions
This page answers the most common questions about ForBets, a marketplace of sports predictions: how to sign in, how to pay for picks and subscriptions, and how the ratings of analysts are calculated.
Press Register in the header, enter your full name, your email and a password, and agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. The password needs at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.
We send a confirmation link to your email. Follow it to finish creating the account. You can also continue with Google, Facebook or Apple, and then you need no password.
Press Login in the header and enter your email and password, or continue with Google, Facebook or Apple. Remember me keeps you signed in on this device.
If two-factor authentication is on, we ask for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app right after the password.
Check your spam folder first. If it is not there, press Resend link on the sign-up screen, or Resend confirmation link on the login form, and wait for the timer to finish before you try again.
A confirmation link expires. If yours has, enter your email on the page it opens and we send you a new one.
Press Forgot password? on the login form and enter your email. If an account exists for it, we send a link to set a new password. If the link has expired, request a new one.
To change a password you know, open Security in your account and use Change Password.
Open Security in your account and press Set up 2FA. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, save your 12-word recovery phrase and enter the 6-digit code the app shows.
After that we ask for a code when you sign in, buy picks and request payouts. The recovery phrase is shown only once, so copy it or download it and keep it somewhere safe.
On the sign-in step that asks for the code, press Cannot access your authenticator?, enter your 12-word recovery phrase and press Recover account.
Recovery turns off two-factor authentication, signs out your other devices and pauses purchases and payouts for 24 hours. When you are in, set up 2FA again in Security.
We cannot turn two-factor authentication off for you automatically, because that would also open the account to anyone who knows the password. Write to Contact us instead: we check that the account is yours and restore access by hand.
Write to [email protected] from the email address of your account and say that you lost access to 2FA. We may ask for details only the owner knows. See Contact us for what to include.
Once you are back in, set up 2FA again and keep the new recovery phrase apart from your phone.
Open Personal data in your account and use Delete account. You confirm with your password, the account is deleted for good and you are signed out on every device.
It is not possible while you have active subscriptions, money on your balance or a payout on its way. Cancel the subscriptions, withdraw the balance and try again. An analyst profile with published or settled picks, or with active subscribers, has to be resolved first.
Open a match in Sports or a pick on the home page, press Buy prediction and choose how to pay. The pick unlocks as soon as the payment is confirmed, and the access is yours for good.
- Card: you pay on the secure page of our payment provider and come back here when it is done.
- Crypto: you pay from your own wallet in USDT, BTC and other coins.
- Balance: money that came back to you for cancelled matches can pay for a new pick.
Prices are in US dollars.
Choose the coin and the network, and we show you an address and the exact amount to send. Send exactly that amount, in that network only: coins sent in another network are lost. The fee of the network is yours, so send the amount in addition to it.
You can close the window while you wait. The payment is found again when you come back, and the pick unlocks once the network confirms it, which usually takes a few minutes.
If no transfer was seen in time, nothing was charged. A transfer sent before the time ran out is still credited once the network confirms it, so check back in a few minutes.
If you sent less than needed, send the rest to the same address (and the same tag) to finish the payment.
If something still looks wrong, write to [email protected] with your payment number: it is shown in the payment window, and you can copy it there.
- Pending
- The match has not ended or the result is not settled yet.
- Win or Lose
- The pick was right or wrong.
- Void
- The pick was cancelled, for example because the match was cancelled. A void pick is not counted in the win rate.
The pick becomes void and its price is returned to your wallet on the site. From there you can spend it on other picks. A postponed match is not a cancelled one: the pick stays valid for the new date.
A pick is digital content that unlocks at once, so a purchase is not refunded because the pick lost or because you changed your mind. We do refund a double charge, a payment that did not unlock the pick, a pick we removed before its event, and in the cases the law of your country requires.
The full rules are in the Refund Policy.
In Betting info, on the Purchased tab. Upcoming ones are also on the home page, under Your activity. After the match is settled you can leave a review for the analyst there.
No. A pick is an analyst's opinion, and past results do not guarantee future ones. Bet only what you can afford to lose, and only if you are 18 or older. See Responsible gambling for where to find help.
A subscription opens every pick of that analyst which the analyst included in subscriptions. Some picks can be sold separately, and the pick page tells you which. Each analyst sets their own plans: weekly, monthly or a number of days.
Open the analyst's page in Analysts, press Subscribe, choose a plan and pay by card on the secure payment page. The plans and prices are on the page.
Yes. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. The date of the next charge is shown in Subscriptions.
Open Subscriptions and press Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for and nothing is charged after it. The part of the period already paid for is not refunded. Changed your mind? Press Resume before the period ends.
If we cannot charge your card, our payment provider keeps trying, and access to the analyst's picks is on hold until a payment goes through. Press Complete payment in Subscriptions to finish the payment yourself.
Every analyst has three numbers, and each one answers a different question.
- Win rate
- Wins divided by wins and losses, in percent. Pending and void picks are not counted. Under 30 settled picks it is marked as a small sample.
- Trust score
- A number from 0 to 100 built from the points of settled picks, explained below. It stays empty (—) until the analyst has a settled win or loss.
- Reviews
- The stars, from 1 to 5, that readers give after a settled pick.
The points are a balance. Every settled pick adds points when it wins and takes them away when it loses; a void pick changes nothing. The size of the change is (1 + ln(buyers + 1)) × a reliability bonus of up to 1.5. In words: a pick that many people bought or subscribed to weighs more, and so does a result in a sport where the analyst's record before it was already strong, for a win and for a loss.
The points are counted for each sport on its own, and the total is the sum of the sports. Trust score is 100 × (earned + 10) ÷ (earned + lost + 20), where earned is all the points won and lost is all the points taken away. A new analyst starts at the neutral 50 and moves up or down with each result.
Nothing is hidden: every change of the points is listed in the trust score history on the analyst's profile, and a corrected result is added as a new line, not written over the old one.
Because it can come from a few picks. An analyst with 3 wins out of 3 has 100%, and so does one with 300 out of 300, but the first record says very little. Compare the number of settled picks next to the win rate, and look at the trust score, which grows with the history.
Published picks include those still waiting for a result. Settled picks are the ones with a result, and only those make the win rate. So the published total does not tell you the sample behind a win rate.
In Analysts, filter by sport, trust score, win rate and price, and sort the list. Select up to 3 profiles and press Compare to see their records side by side. On a match page you also see every analyst's pick for it with the full settled record.
A review is tied to a purchase: once a pick you bought has been settled as a win or a loss, you can rate the analyst from 1 to 5 and write at least 10 characters. You can leave one review for each purchased pick. A subscription alone does not give the right to review, and neither does a pick that was voided and refunded.
Open Personal data and press Become an analyst. Tell us your sports, your years of experience and a short bio, and add a link to a portfolio or other proof of your experience. Our team reviews the application, which usually takes 1–3 business days.
If it is rejected, you see the reason and can apply again. Publishing is bound by the Analyst Agreement.
Create a prediction in Betting info: choose the sport, league and match, load the odds and pick a selection, set the stake from 1 to 10, the type (pre-match or live) and the price, which starts at $0.50. Save it as a draft and publish it when you are ready.
After you publish, the odds and the time of the event are locked, and the prediction can no longer be edited or deleted.
Add plans in Subscriptions: a name, a price and a period (weekly, monthly or a number of days). The price and the period of a plan cannot be changed later: archive the plan and make a new one. Readers who already pay keep their access. For each pick you choose whether subscribers get it or must buy it separately.
A sale is credited to your balance once its match is over. We keep a platform fee, shown as a percentage on the Payments page, from the sales that stay with you. Until then the money is shown as pending.
In Payments, add a payout account (a bank account or a crypto address) and press Withdraw. Withdrawals need two-factor authentication and are approved before they are sent. You follow the request through Requested, Approved, On its way and Paid, and you can cancel it while it waits for approval.
The minimum and the maximum are shown when you request a withdrawal. For crypto, the fee of the network is taken from the amount.
Changes to an analyst's public profile, name and photo are checked by a moderator. Until they are approved, the profile stays as it was. You can keep editing, and what you send is added to the same request, or you can withdraw it.
Use Stop being an analyst in Personal data. Your analyst profile, drafts, subscription plans and payout account are deleted, while your purchases, subscriptions and reviews stay, and you can apply again later. It is not possible while you have published or settled picks, or a subscription to you that has not ended.
Yes. Open Personal data and choose a time zone, or let the site detect it. Every time on the site, from the start of a match to a payment deadline, is shown in it.
Yes. Choose the notation in Personal data. Until you choose, it follows your time zone, and your choice is kept in this browser.
In Personal data, under Sports & alerts, pick the sports you follow and how you hear about each one: in the app, by push or by email. The bell in the header collects the new picks of the analysts you follow and the stories of your sports.
News has three tabs: Your feed shows the sports you follow, Discover shows all sports, and Saved holds the stories you saved to read later. You can search by headline or topic and mark everything as read.
Press / anywhere on the site, or click the search field in the header, and type what you look for: an analyst, a match, a story, a page or a setting, such as 2FA.
