This Privacy Policy explains how ForBets (“we”, “us”), the operator of ForBets, collects and uses personal data when you visit the site or use your account. We keep it to what we need to run the platform, and we do not sell your personal data.
Who is responsible for your data
ForBets decides why and how your personal data is used and is the controller of it. For analysts’ own content, such as their public profile, the analyst is responsible for what they choose to publish.
What we collect
Data you give us:
- Account data: your name, email address, password (kept only as a hash), profile photo, country and time zone, and the settings you choose, such as odds format and followed sports. If you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address and an identifier from them.
- Analyst data: if you apply to become an analyst, your sports, experience, biography, social links and portfolio link, and the details of your public profile.
- Payment and payout data: records of your purchases, subscriptions, wallet and earnings, and references from payment providers. Card numbers are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us. If you request payouts we keep the bank or crypto details you give us, stored encrypted.
- Content: reviews, comments, saved stories, favourite analysts and the messages you send us.
- Newsletter and notifications: your email address and your choices about which sports you follow and how you hear about them.
Data we collect automatically:
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, dates and times, and error logs. We use it to run and secure the site, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- A random identifier stored in your browser, which lets us count how many different visitors have opened a pick or a story, including visitors who are not signed in.
- Cookies and browser storage that keep you signed in and remember your choices. They are described in the Cookie Policy.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you asked for: your account, purchases, subscriptions, wallet, payouts, notifications and support (contract).
- To keep the site and your money safe: security checks, two-factor authentication, fraud and abuse prevention, and complying with the law (legitimate interests and legal obligation).
- To improve the site: understanding which pages and features are used, and fixing errors (legitimate interests).
- To send you news and updates by email or push about the sports you follow, and our newsletter, if you asked for them. You can stop at any time (consent).
- To meet legal duties, such as tax, accounting and answering lawful requests from authorities (legal obligation).
Transfers abroad
Our providers may process data in other countries. Where data leaves your region we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, except what we must keep to meet legal duties or to deal with disputes and fraud, for example payment and tax records, which are kept for the period the law requires. Security logs are kept for a limited time.
How we protect it
We use encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords, encrypted payout details and optional two-factor authentication. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

- You can leave the newsletter with the link in any email, and change the sports you follow in your account.
- For anything else, write to us and we will answer within the time the law sets.
If you are in California or another place with a similar law, you have the rights that law gives you. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for cross-context advertising.
Age limit
The site is for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you think a minor has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and for important changes we will tell you on the site or by email.
