How to watch Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs and Chargers seasons could not be going any more differently. Will that continue at Arrowhead on Sunday? The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) will welcome the winless Los Angeles Chargers (0-5) to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 18, for an AFC West showdown between two teams having very different seasons. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are coming off an early bye week and looking to maintain their perfect record, although they’ll be without injured wide receiver Rashee Rice. Meanwhile, Justin Herbert and the Chargers are desperately searching for their first win of the season. Kansas City will be heavily favored, but divisional rivalries have a funny way of producing surprises. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET and will air on CBS. If you are looking for a live TV streaming service to watch the game, we recommend doing so with a five-day free trial to DIRECTV. You can also stream with a subscription to Paramount+ Premium. How to watch Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers When: Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, at 4:25 p.m. ET TV: CBS Stream: Watch with a five-day free trial to DIRECTV or Paramount+. From anywhere: Watch with a subscription to a VPN. Everything you need to know to stream Chiefs vs. Chargers: Why we recommend DIRECTV to watch Chiefs vs. Chargers When it comes to offering the most channels in streaming, every live TV streaming service is chasing DIRECTV. Watch a preview of Chiefs vs. Chargers Can you watch Chiefs vs. Chargers for free? If you are just looking for a streaming service to watch this specific game and nothing else, there are options available for you. DIRECTV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and YouTube TV all offer free trials, but they vary in length, so be wary. DIRECTV’s industry-leading trial runs for five days, while Hulu + Live TV’s is a solid three days. Those are pretty straightforward, but when it comes to the sports-minded streamer Fubo, things can get a little complicated. As The Streamable’s expert David Satin discovered when signing up for the services, figuring out how long Fubo’s trial is — even as you are signing up — can be a bit difficult. Nonetheless, it will be at least one day, with the potential to be as many as seven, depending on a wide range of factors that Fubo does not share publicly. The YouTube TV trial is said to be “up to two weeks,” but can be as short as two days. So it is difficult to ascertain what you are actually getting before you go through the signup process. If you are looking to watch the game for free, I would recommend DIRECTV, because that streamer has the longest guaranteed free trial and gives you the best channel options. As mentioned above, Paramount+ also has a free trial, but that is not a live TV streaming service in the same way that the rest of the options are. It will only provide you live access to NFL games and UEFA Champions League soccer on the Essentials tier, and what is being broadcast on your CBS affiliate on the Paramount+ Premium tier. What are all of the streamers you can use to watch the Chiefs vs. Chargers? Fortunately for football fans, there are six different streaming services that will stream the game, so you have options to choose from if you don’t already subscribe to any of them. We discussed DIRECTV and the free trial options above, but there is one more, and it offers a different type of streaming arrangement. Ultimately, there are tons of different ways to stream the game, and while we recommend DIRECTV as the best way to stream this game, you have plenty of options to find the platform that meets your needs. Sign Up paramountplus.com Paramount Plus Paramount+ is a subscription video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 40,000+ TV show episodes from BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and more. Get free access with a Walmart+ subscription. Paramount+ includes “1883,” “Tulsa King,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” and “PAW Patrol.” Subscribers can watch the NFL, college football, The Masters, college basketball, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Serie A, and NWSL. The service also offers the option to watch your live CBS affiliate. The upgraded ad-free package includes premium movies and shows from Showtime. $8.99+ / month In addition to all of the live TV streaming options and Paramount+, you can also stream the matchup with NFL+, but there is a catch. NFL+ lets subscribers watch every live regular-season and playoff game that is being televised in their local market, along with all nationally televised and primetime games. However, live local and primetime coverage is limited to phones and tablets. That means if an ABC, CBS, ESPN, Fox, or NBC is carrying a game where you are, NFL+ will also make that game available live on a mobile device. Additionally, live mobile games generally cannot be cast to a TV. Beyond that, NFL+ Premium adds features such as NFL RedZone and full, condensed, and All-22 game replays on supported devices, all of which can be viewed on smart TVs, but it does not eliminate the mobile-device restriction for live local and primetime games. www.nfl.com/plus NFL+ NFL+ allows fans to watch live local and primetime games on mobile and tablet devices. And with an NFL+ Premium subscription, you can watch replays of every single game without ads, condensed game replays, and coaches film. The service also allows fans to choose their audio stream (home, away, and national calls). The Premium plan also includes NFL RedZone on TV. The service also allows users to watch out-of-market preseason games on any device. Users can also access NFL library programming ad-free. $6.99+ / month How to watch Chiefs vs. Chargers with a VPN If you’ll be away from home and can’t watch the game as you normally would, you can still catch all of the action, no matter where you are in the world with a VPN. A VPN can be used on your phone, tablet, or computer and make you appear to be back home — even when you’re not — making sure you feel at home no matter where you are. A VPN is a safe and secure way to stay protected online while streaming your favorite sports, movies, and shows on the go. Keep in mind that you will still need to be subscribed to a live TV streaming like DIRECTV in order to stream the game with a VPN. ExpressVPN is one of the best providers around, at one of the best prices. Currently, you can get a month of service for as little as $5. ExpressVPN is the most-trusted VPN on the market and comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. ExpressVPN has servers in 105 countries, best-in-class encryption, 24-hour live support, and the best speeds available. The Las Vegas Raiders (3-2) will welcome the Buffalo Bills (4-1) to Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 18, for an AFC showdown between two teams heading in coming off very different Week 5 results. Buffalo is coming off a thrilling 37-34 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams, with Josh Allen leading one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses. Meanwhile, Las Vegas has dropped two straight games after opening the season 3-0, putting pressure on Kirk Cousins and company to get things back on track. With the Raiders struggling defensively and the Bills averaging nearly 33 points per game, this could turn into a high-scoring affair. McDavid is threatening to break one of Gretzky's most impressive records

It seems unfathomable that Connor McDavid could get any better, but here we are. The Edmonton Oilers captain has been red-hot to start the season and is off to the best start of his NHL career. After a five-point effort against the Utah Mammoth on Saturday night, helping the Oilers win by a score of 6-2, McDavid is now up to a remarkable 23 points through the first eight games of the season. That is the most points through the first eight games of a season from any player since 2000, and more significantly, has put him on a collision course to potentially break one of Wayne Gretzky’s most impressive records. McDavid is scoring at a 2.88 points-per-game pace right now, which would extrapolate to an astounding 241 points over the course of an 84-game season. That would shatter Gretzky’s single-season record of 215 points, which he accomplished with the Oilers during the 1985-86 campaign. It would also make the Oilers captain just the second player in NHL history to break the 200-point plateau. Gretzky did it on four different occasions. > CONNOR MCDAVID HAS ANOTHER 🚨 > > It's a five-point night for the Oilers captain 🫡 pic.twitter.com/Ypw2fBYi4G > — Sportsnet (@Sportsnet) October 18, 2026 Notching 200 points was an impressive feat in the high-scoring 1980s, and it was assumed to be practically impossible in the modern day. Even Mario Lemieux struggled to hit the milestone, maxing out at 199 points during the 1988-89 season. McDavid is no stranger to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the NHL nowadays. Back during the 2022-23 season, he found a way to put up 153 points, becoming the first player in 27 years to break the 150-point mark. Then, before that, in 2020-21, he notched an amazing 105 points in the COVID-shortened 56-game season. A lot of things would need to continue to go right if McDavid wants a shot at the single-season points record. He would not have a lot of room to cool off over the remaining 76 games on the schedule, and he’d need to remain healthy for the entire season. It’s a long shot, don’t be mistaken, but to doubt McDavid’s abilities would be foolish at this point. How the news of ForBets works

Where the stories come from, how your feed is made and how to get an alert, with the terms of the news pages.

The stories are collected from the news sources of the sports we cover, and each one says where it comes from. For some of them only the opening and a link to the original are shown: the full text is read on the site of the publisher, who owns it.

News has three tabs. Your feed shows the stories of the sports you follow, Discover shows every sport, and Saved holds the stories you kept to read later. You can search by headline or topic, narrow the list to one sport, and mark everything as read.

Yes. In your account, under Sports & alerts, choose the sports you follow and how you want to hear about each one: in the app, by push or by email. The bell in the header collects the new stories of your sports and the new picks of the analysts you follow.

News is for reading and does not recommend bets. For picks, open the list of matches and compare the analysts by their records. The two are kept apart on purpose: a story is a report, and a pick is an opinion that its author answers for.
