About the news
How the news of ForBets works
Where the stories come from, how your feed is made and how to get an alert, with the terms of the news pages.
How the news feed worksThe stories are collected from the news sources of the sports we cover, and each one says where it comes from. For some of them only the opening and a link to the original are shown: the full text is read on the site of the publisher, who owns it.
News has three tabs. Your feed shows the stories of the sports you follow, Discover shows every sport, and Saved holds the stories you kept to read later. You can search by headline or topic, narrow the list to one sport, and mark everything as read.
Yes. In your account, under Sports & alerts, choose the sports you follow and how you want to hear about each one: in the app, by push or by email. The bell in the header collects the new stories of your sports and the new picks of the analysts you follow.
News is for reading and does not recommend bets. For picks, open the list of matches and compare the analysts by their records. The two are kept apart on purpose: a story is a report, and a pick is an opinion that its author answers for.
- Your feed
- The stories of the sports you follow, the newest first.
- Discover

- Saved
- Stories you kept to read later. They stay until you remove them.
- Unread
- A story you have not opened yet. It is marked in your feed.
- Source
- The publisher of a story. For some stories only the opening is shown, and the full text is on the site of the publisher.
