Angel Reese Just Did Something No One in WNBA Finals History Has, and the Dream Are Rolling

Atlanta just pulled off a huge Game 3 win in the WNBA Finals, taking a 2-1 series lead over the Golden State Valkyries, and it is all thanks to Angel Reese absolutely going off yet again.

The Dream smashed the Valkyries 97-71 in front of a raucous, sold-out crowd at State Farm Arena. Reese, the Defensive Player of the Year, dropped another monster performance: 21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals on 7-12 shooting, including a perfect 2-2 from beyond the arc. But get this, that was her *third straight double-double* in these Finals. She is only 24 years and 168 days old, making her the youngest player in WNBA Finals history to ever do that. How wild is that? This woman is making history with every game.

Remember how she lamented her lack of aggressiveness after that Game 1 defeat? Yeah, she clearly decided to flip the switch. After her insane 30-point, 16-rebound explosion in Game 2 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, she just kept that fire going for Game 3. Across the series, Reese is averaging a ridiculous 22.0 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. The Valkyries simply cannot guard her, and everyone knows it. She is absolutely the huge favorite for Finals MVP right now. This is the first WNBA Finals in Georgia since 2013, and Reese is putting on a show for the ages.

With the Dream now up 2-1 in the series, it feels like Angel Reese is just getting started. She is dominating every aspect of the game, setting records, and carrying her team. This series is shaping up to be an all time classic, and Reese is the undeniable star. You just have to tune in to see what she does next.
