‘Aura is gone’: Fans react as Ilia Topuria drops first training footage since loss to Justin Gaethje

The first video of Ilia Topuria training since his loss to Justin Gaethje has hit social media.
This past June in the UFC Freedom 250 main event, Ilia Topuria suffered the first loss of his career when Justin Gaethje dethroned him of the lightweight title.
During the fight, ‘El Matador’ suffered several brutal injuries, including two broken orbital bones as well as a broken bone in his foot.
And earlier this week, he broke his silence with his return to the public eye, announcing that he is ‘back’ ahead of his return to the sport.
Rumors recently surfaced at the hands of UFC commentator Jon Anik, who claimed that inside conversations have taken place in the promotion regarding a rematch between Topuria and Gaethje.
That has now been somewhat backed up by UFC boss Dana White, who recently said that Topuria is ‘ready to fight’, while talking about potential matchups with Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett.
And now, for the first time since his loss this past June, a training video of Topuria has been posted online by one of his sponsors, Montriex.
In the video, the Spaniard is seen punching the heavy bag with somewhat of a new look, with his hair grown out.
In a reaction to the video, fans are claiming that the 29-year-old has ‘lost his aura’.
“There’s zero aura anymore,” one fan commented.
“Gaethje is going to sleep this time,” another fan said.
“This haircut -50 aura,” a third fan said of his new appearance.
“That hairstyle is the sole reason he got his butt kicked. He should make that change. Saying this as a die hard,” another fan commented.
It seems likely that when the Spaniard does return, he will be given an immediate title fight rematch, or he will finally fight Paddy ‘The Baddy’ in a number one contender grudge match.
“That’s a broken man right there,” said another fan.
“Aura gone with that bum. Good luck beating Paddy,” a sixth fan said.
A return this year for the Spaniard is seemingly off the cards unless he fights Pimblett, as Gaethje recently revealed that he won’t be fighting again this year due to ongoing injuries.
