AVB successfully concludes FIFA Members Association Course 2026

The Aruban Football Federation (AVB) officially concluded the FIFA Members Association (MA) Course 2026 after five intensive days of training. The course took place from September 18 to 22 and brought together 22 referees for a high-level program led by three FIFA experts and local instructors.
Throughout the course, participants strengthened their knowledge and skills in several key areas of refereeing. Topics included changes to the Laws of the Game and their application worldwide, tactical fouls, handball, offside, positioning and reading, game management, and training quality.
The program combined classroom instruction with practical training. During on-field sessions with players, the referees applied what they had learned in real game situations.
Participants also completed anthropometric measurements, the FIFA Fitness Test, technical evaluations and two video tests. These assessments allowed the instructors to monitor and evaluate the referees’ progress throughout the course.
The program concluded with a Technical & Fitness Review, followed by the official closing of the FIFA MA Course 2026.
The annual course is part of AVB’s ongoing commitment to strengthening and developing refereeing in Aruba. The opportunity is not limited to FIFA referees, but also includes referees with the talent and potential to continue developing and eventually reach a higher level in the sport.
AVB thanked FIFA, the international and local instructors, and all 22 referees for their commitment, discipline and dedication throughout the program. The organization said the continued development of referees contributes to raising the level of refereeing and soccer in Aruba.
