BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Bandits on Tuesday announced they have signed their 2025 first-round pick Waukiigan Shognosh to a three-year contract, pending league approval.

Shognosh, a 19-year-old hailing from the Walpole Island First Nation in Ontario, was drafted 14th overall in the 2025 National Lacrosse League entry draft. He spent last season on the team’s practice squad.

He was named the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League goaltender of the year in 2025, with a 15-8 record while a part of the Peterborough Lakers, who finished with a 17-12 record that season.
