Trinity AudioThe Bay Area will have plenty of sports games to choose from — and presumably more traffic than usual to cope with — as nearly every major team in season is set to play at home this weekend.

Cal helped kick things off Friday night with a football game against Clemson University at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley. Across the Bay, the San Francisco Giants opened their final weekend of the season with a night game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. At 1:05 p.m., the Giants will again take on the playoff-bound Dodgers.

Stanford will then host Georgia Tech at 7:30 p.m. in Palo Alto, just as the San Jose Earthquakes begin their soccer game 16 miles away against the Portland Timbers at PayPal Park in San Jose. The Oakland Roots SC will bring Saturday’s slate of games to a close with a United Soccer League match against the Phoenix Rising FC at the Oakland Coliseum.

The conclusion to sports-a-geddon will begin at noon Sunday, when the first pitch is thrown out at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Fans will likely stick around after the last out to hear beloved sportscaster Mike Krukow speakAt 1:05 p.m., the San Francisco 49ers will play the Arizona Cardinals at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. And the Bay FC women’s soccer team will take on the Orlando Pride at 2 p.m. at PayPal Park.

Finally, the Golden State Valkyries will have the airwaves all to themselves at 6 p.m., when the second seed in the WNBA playoffs tips off against the Dallas Wings. The game is at Chase Center in San Francisco, where the basketball team has played in front of a full house — 18,064 fans — for every game of its two-year existence.7 p.m.: Phoenix at Oakland Roots 12 p.m.: Dodgers at Giants 6 p.m.: Dallas at Valkyries
