Brock Purdy reveals what he wants to ‘teach all of Australia’ in 49ers’ Melbourne game vs LA Rams

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy wants to teach Australians something during the NFL Melbourne Game.
Purdy will lead the 49ers in their clash against the Los Angeles Rams at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday.
It will be the first regular-season NFL game to be played in Australia, with nearly 100,000 fans expected to attend.
Purdy has suggested he will perform an entertaining touchdown celebration for the Australian football fans.
Brock Purdy realises that the NFL Melbourne Game is an awesome opportunity to grow the sport on another continent.
Purdy explained the mindset behind one of his most exciting plays and admitted he wants to replicate it this week at the MCG.
“The ball fake in front of that linebacker’s face wasn’t the most respectful thing, but it was fun,” he told ESPN Australia.
“Hopefully you guys see a little bit of that on Friday as well. I need you guys to go crazy when we score touchdowns and get first downs.”
The 49ers quarterback is also hoping to score a rushing touchdown and perform the ‘Dougie’ celebration in the end zone.
“If I run one in, I might have to teach all of Australia how to [do the] Dougie. Stay tuned.”
The ‘Dougie’ is a famous dance move in 2010s hip-hop culture that Purdy has recently made his go-to celebration.
Former Washington Wizards star John Wall also popularised the move with sports fans during his NBA career.
