Buccaneers’ Baker Mayfield won’t play in Week 6, but he has a revenge game to return for

There's a lot of hope that, over the next week or so, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will welcome Baker Mayfield back to the field.
Mayfield, who was paid during the offseason, went down with a thumb injury.
The Buccaneers have been lucky that they've been able to stay afloat in the simplest sense of Jalon Daniels getting a win for them against the Dallas Cowboys, though it's definitely not crazy to say that Mayfield has to return sometime over the next week or so if the team is going to be what it was expecting to be entering the season.
As for the latest update on Mayfield, he could be back sometime this week. He won’t play against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he should have a good chance to return against the Carolina Panthers in Week 7.
“Fully expect Baker Mayfield to test his ability to grip and throw the football today. Whether he can do that effectively is to be determined. Jalon Daniels is expected to start vs. Steelers unless Mayfield recovers more quickly than expected. Next game is at Carolina following the Steelers Sunday,” Rick Stroud wrote.
As long as Mayfield can get back and win some games towards the back end of the season, there's reason to believe that Tampa Bay will be more than fine.
The lucky part for the Buccaneers is that the NFC South is one of the worst divisions in football. At the same time, the Buccaneers won't win the division by winning only six or seven games, so they'll have to figure something out.
