Caitlin Clark fans hit out after Indiana Fever teammate receives ‘MVP behavior’ shout

Caitlin Clark fans are fuming after one Indiana Fever player won the WNBA Player of the Month award.
The Indiana Fever seem all set to make their third consecutive WNBA playoff appearance as they are currently fifth in the league after 40 regular season games.
While Caitlin Clark is undoubtedly the most popular player on the roster, the likes of Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston are integral to the team’s success in the 2026 season.
It’s obvious from the fact that Mitchell just grabbed her second consecutive WNBA Player of the Month honor following a solid showing in August 2026.
The Fever recently announced that Mitchell grabbed the POTM honors for August 2026 as the star guard averaged 28.9 points while shooting 55.6% from the field and 53.4% from the three-point line.
As a result, the Fever gave Mitchell an MVP shout on their X handle, which didn’t sit well among Clark fans.
“CC obviously was the best player for the month, week, and should be the MVP. You are horrible,” a fan wrote. While another added, “You people are sick, robbing CC again.”
“This is ridiculous. Caitlin was robbed, and it is out of control,” a third fan pointed out.
MORE KELSEY MITCHELL STORIES
“Clark has one of her best months ever, but nah, let’s give it to Kelsey Mitchell,” a fourth fan stated. While a fifth fan added, “We love Kelsey but not at the expense of CC.”
For context, Clark made WNBA history by becoming the first player ever to have at least 200 points and 100 assists in a single month. Additionally, Clark had the highest-scoring month by a point guard in league history.
Keeping these achievements in mind, it’s not surprising that Clark was robbed of the honor, which could ultimately hurt her chances of winning the 2026 WNBA MVP.
