Caitlin Clark sent a simple message to the Chiefs before win over Broncos in NFL season opener

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark sent a message to the Kansas City Chiefs minutes before their 31-10 NFL season-opening win over the Denver Broncos.
Clark spent the last two weeks winning a Gold medal for Team USA at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup, leading the national team in assists as they extended a 20-year winning streak.
Now Clark hopes that championship love can extend to her Indiana Fever squad before the 2026 WNBA Playoffs, but also to her favorite NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
Clark sent a message on social media to the Chiefs, expressing her excitement for the upcoming season while wishing KC good luck for their clash.
“We are back! Good luck!”
The Chiefs didn’t need luck as they excelled on the strength of their roster against the Broncos, a team that beat them three times last season.
Patrick Mahomes didn’t have a superstar night, but his contributions to three touchdowns prove he is more than comfortable back on the field after a nine-month recovery from a torn ACL.
Travis Kelce turned back the clock with a 59-yard run in the game, although the biggest reason for their success was summer signing RB Kenneth Walker III, who rushed for 173 yards in this win.
The reigning Super Bowl MVP on the Super Bowl-winning machine that has been the Chiefs under coach Andy Reid is a dangerous combo, and Game 1 of the season showed that to the entire world.
The Chiefs season-opener might be the last time in a while that Clark could watch a Chiefs game without worrying until the end of October, as she will be switching back into gear for the WNBA postseason.

The WNBA season break ends on September 16, with the remaining regular-season games holding big consequences in terms of seeding.
Clark will need to lock in to ensure the Fever can finish with a top-four seed, so future Chiefs games might be hard for her to watch until the WNBA season is over.
