Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham get unexpected invite amid WNBA offseason

Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham are already in the WNBA offseason and received an unexpected invite recently. Matt Rife posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday and extended an invitation for the Indiana Fever stars to watch his show.
The comedian is best known for being a cast member of “Wild ‘n Out in 2017. He has since produced his comedy specials like “Only Fans,” “Matthew Steven Rife” and “Walking Red Flag.” The 31-year-old also has a massive social media following, with more than 11.4 on Instagram alone.
Clark, Cunningham and the Fever, on the other hand, reached the playoffs as the No. 6-seeded team. They pushed their first-round series against the Las Vegas Aces to a winner-take-all Game 3 on Oct. 1. However, they failed to dethrone the defending champions, losing 94-83 at Michelob ULTRA Arena.
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) and guard Sophie Cunningham (8) watch from the bench during the first half of a game against the Washington Mystics.
Rife announced that he will have a show at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Nov. 8. He joked in the caption that he will play 1v1 with Clark and expressed hope to see her and Cunningham at the venue.

,” Rife wrote. “Cannot guarantee Caitlin or Sophie will be there. But i hope they are and i hope they don’t make me look short.”
Cunningham will become an unrestricted free agent by the end of the season. She will likely generate interest from teams around the WNBA as she is an enforcer who provides quality minutes off the bench. It remains to be seen if the 30-yea-old will return to the Fever as it’s unclear if they’ll extend an offer that would satisfy her.
Meanwhile, Clark has been making the most of her offseason. Her first signature shoes, the Nike Caitlin 1s, were released worldwide on Oct. 1 and has been highly successful. She also recently watched a Kansas City Chiefs game live with Taylor Swift.
