Baltimore Ravens’ defensive lineman Calais Campbell has made NFL history. Campbell played his 283rd NFL game on Sunday, October 11. He now owns the NFL record for most games played by a defensive lineman, the Ravens announced.

This season marks his second stint with the Ravens. He previously played for the Ravens from 2020 through 2022, before he went to Atlanta, Miami and Arizona. Campbell returned to the Ravens this offseason.

Campbell entered the October 11 game with 117 career sacks, including a career high of 14.5 with Jacksonville in 2017. He recorded 6.5 sacks and 43 tackles for Arizona last season.

In June 2026, Campbell had said that he was approaching the year as potentially his final. He also acknowledged that even five more appearances were not guaranteed.
