Celtic predicted XI vs Motherwell, including Shim Mheuka and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain starts

It’s the sense of the unknown as Celtic return to action this weekend after domestic football hibernated for three weeks.

Celtic suffered three defeats on the bounce before the international break, and have a difficult trip to Fir Park to deal with on their return to club action.

Martin O’Neill will stay on as Celtic manager after questioning his status after the second Rangers loss, and he has a few big calls to make with his starting XI, from who starts up front to the make-up of his out-of-sorts midfield.

67 Hail Hail have predicted Celtic’s possible XI against Motherwell, including backing Shim Mheuka to earn his first start.

The one sigh of relief for O’Neill is that Hyunjun Yang is available once again after winning the Asian Games with South Korea, and missing those games against Rangers and Ferencvaros in the Europa League.

That should make it pretty much straightforward that Yang starts on the left flank, with Camilo Duran on the right, given that he has played some of his best football in that position.

Given Kasper Hogh’s poor form, and the fact that he didn’t do anything to change that on Denmark duty, it should open the door for Mheuka to start.

It also needs to be remembered that Mheuka lit up England U20 duty, and the Chelsea loanee is already proving that he is ready to start.
