Week Eight of the 2026 NFL season concludes with an eye-catching clash between the defending Super Bowl champions and a fellow NFC team who are firmly on the up.
The Seahawks title defence has not quite been as impressive as they might have hoped but they showcased their elite credentials with a 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Seven, snapping a two-game losing streak.
The Bears battled through the early part of the campaign when quarterback Caleb Williams was sidelined with a hamstring injury and have not looked back since his return, beating the New England Patriots 30-24 last time out to improve to 5-2.
We have put together a three-leg bet builder for Monday night’s game that includes a handicap pick and two Seahawks player props, which pays out at 6.2-1 with Paddy Power if successful.
Combined odds: 6.2-1 with Paddy Power

The Seattle Seahawks bounced back from a two-game losing streak with a comfortable win 20-3 over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Seven and they showed exactly what their Super Bowl-winning team was built on, defense.
They limited former Seahawk running back Kenneth Walker to just 36 yards on the ground after he had racked up the most rushing yards in NFL history from his first five games of the season.
That bodes well for this game against a Bears team who have the most rushing yards of any team in the league this season. If Seattle can nullify Chicago’s biggest strength, then they look likely to come out on top of this one.
To add to that, the Seahawks’ running game should be improved by the return of Zach Charbonnet from injury. That should open up the passing game to allow quarterback Sam Darnold to shine after putting up arguably his best performance of the season against Kansas City last time out.
The Bears are on a roll at present but facing the reigning Super Bowl champions on the road is an extremely tough ask and Seattle are fancied to cover the spread.
Sam Darnold has not quite hit the heights of last season this year but the Seattle Seahawks quarterback could have a big game in this Monday Night Football.
Fresh from throwing for 257 yards against the Chiefs, Darnold is facing a Bears defense which has allowed plenty of explosive plays this season. Four straight quarterbacks have managed a pass of at least 41 yards against Chicago and none of them had Jaxon Smith-Njigba at their disposal.
Against the best receiver in the NFL at present, expect the Bears defense to come under plenty of pressure, particularly with impressive rookie Malik Muhammad II a doubt, and allow Darnold a big night. He can explode for at least 275 passing yards.
To say that Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been the best receiver in the NFL this season is underselling his performances. The Seattle wideout came into this week with 867 receiving yards, some 159 more than the next best.
Only Trey McBride had more receptions than Smith-Njigba’s 58 so Seattle’s Offensive Coordinator Brian Fleury is going to look to get him the ball as much as possible in this clash.
The Seahawks star has only gone one game without a touchdown this season and looks unlikely to draw a blank in this clash.
