Claremont McKenna College opens a new football stadium

Football’s never looked this good at Claremont McKenna College.
Neither has baseball or softball.
The first game has been played on the gridiron at Patrick G. Rogan Stadium, part of the new Sports Bowl at the Roberts Campus.

Claremont McKenna’s new athletics complex currently has homes for football, baseball and softball. A golf training area and soccer fields will rise next, Jeremy Kniffin, an athletics department spokesperson wrote in an email.
The complex also includes a courtyard, walkable pathways and landscaping, a news release states.
In addition to football, the Rogan stadium will host track and field events plus lacrosse. Athletes will also enjoy amenities such as new locker rooms, team meeting spaces and a sports medicine facility, the release states.
Claremont McKenna joins with two others in the five-campus Claremont Colleges system to field teams: Harvey Mudd College and Scripps College.
What about that first football game Saturday, Sept. 5?
The Stags looked as good as their new digs, posting a 19-14 victory over a Minnesota school, the University of Northwestern.
