Conor McGregor makes ‘mega announcement’: UFC legend holds a goat as he debuts on TikTok

Conor McGregor is staying busy during his current spell on the sidelines.

The former dual-weight UFC champion ended a five-year absence from MMA at UFC 329 in July.

‘Notorious’ tore his ACL in the opening moments of a 69-second TKO defeat to Max Holloway.

'Notorious' suffered a serious knee injury moments into his comeback fight against Max Holloway.

Conor McGregor is a prolific social media user with more than 57 million followers across X and Instagram.

The 38-year-old is famous for his wild posts, epic rants, and love of sharing voice notes on X.

On Monday, McGregor joined TikTok, and quickly racked up a six-figure number of followers.

The UFC legend held a baby goat as he posted on the platform for the very first time.

“What’s up, folks? It’s Mac here with a mega announcement,” McGregor said.

“I’m here with my little sister, Goatiana. We’re letting you guys know we’re on TikTok, baby!

“Goats recognize goats. Drop us a follow, a like, a comment, and let us know what you guys think.

“Ain’t that right, Goatiana? Buss down, Goatiana!

Conor McGregor faces a long recovery process that will keep him out of the Octagon until 2027.

It’s hoped that the Irishman will be fit and ready to return during the second half of next year.

McGregor has just one fight on his UFC contract, which he plans to complete before exploring free agency.

It’s too early to talk about potential comeback opponents, but McGregor has already expressed his desire to cross over to bare-knuckle boxing once his UFC deal is up.

BKFC President Dave Feldman recently told Bloody Elbow that McGregor is 15 months away from debuting in a new sport.

“I think we will see, in 15 months or so from now, Conor McGregor fighting inside the squared circle without the gloves on,” Feldman predicted.
