Crawley Town player ratings: Former West Ham youngster gets an 8 but five 6.5s as Reds lose at MK Dons

Reds more than held their own for 40 minutes and had chances through Nathan Tinsdale, Gianmarco Di Biase and Klaudio Krasniqi but Ben Wiles and Jack Sanders scored scored within three minutes of each to make it 2-0 at half-time.
Louie Watson should have made it 2-1 in first half added time but dragged his shot wide.
Watson and Jude Robertson both nearly reduced the arrears early in the second half but both were denied by Will Dennis.
But Crawley’s lack of cutting edge was punished on 61 minutes when Elijah Campbell finished well to make it 3-0. Pele Arganese-McDermott then left an arm dangling to stop Samuel Silvera’s effort to give away a penalty and former Red Rushian Hepburn-Murphy made it 4-0.
Colin Kazim-Richards’ side toiled and kept attacking and were rewarded with a goal when Nathan Tinsdale finished well in added time.
Sub Malcolm Ebiowei hit the bar in added time.
Here are our player ratings:
Jackson Izquierdo – 7: Superb save from Fullah’s long range effort after 11 minutes. Couldn’t do a lot about either goal in the first half. Good save from Hepburn-Murphy in the second half. Scoreline was harsh reflection of his performance.
Charlie Barker – 7: Captain for the night and played in the holding midfield and as combative as ever. Pressed well before moving back to central defence at half-time.
Pele Arganese-McDermott – 7: Played at the centre of the back four with Odimayo and looked comfortable on the ball. Handball gave away the penalty which made it 4-0.
Akin Odimayo – 6.5: Sanders got in front of him for the second goal – could have been stronger. Replaced at half time by Ewens-Findlay
Lewis Richards – 7.5: First start of the season for the left back and looked to get forward when he could and put in a couple of good crosses. So comfortable on the ball and carried play forward on more than one occasion.
Justin Ferizaj – 6.5: Another one making his first appearance of the season. A couple of poor corner kicks in the first half. Victim of a dreadful challenge by Matete on 30 minutes. Tenacious and efficient with the ball. Booked on 73 minutes.
Nathan Tinsdale – 6.5: Good early chance blocked but didn’t see much of the ball and found it hard to get a foothold on the game and struggled to make an impact until added time when he finished well for his first Reds goal. A well taken strike.
Klaudio Krasniqi – 6.5: Had a great chance to break the deadlock on 18 minutes but shot was saved. Didn’t make a huge impression on the game. Replaced on 62 minutes
Louie Watson – 8: Looked to pull the strings for Crawley and regularly found space in midfield. Should have scored in first half added time but fired wide. If anything was going to happen going forward, it was likely going to go through Watson. Showed great control to create himself a chance in the 49th minute but his shot was saved. Replaced on 62 minutes.
Jude Robertson – 7.5: Always impressed with this teenager. Started as right back and got stuck in and was effective defending and going forward. Guilty of giving the ball away a couple of times and had a tough task against Silvera. Moved to central midfield in Tested Dennis with a rasping drive but it was saved well -. Booked on 18 minutes. Replaced on 62 minutes.
Gianmarco Di Biase – 7: Followed up Tinsdale’s early effort and forced a good save from the home keeper. Looked lively but struggled to find many openings. Replaced on 62 minutes.
Ty Ewens-Findlay – 6.5: Replaced Odimayo at half-time. Got the assist for Tinsdale’s goal.
Ade Adeyemo – 6: Replaced Robertson on 62 minutes. Had shot from range which was deflected wide.
Osman Kamara – 7: Replaced Krasniqi on 62 minutes. Looked to make things happen on the left for Reds but couldn’t find a final ball.
Malcolm Ebiowei – 7: Replaced Di Biase on 62 minutes. Had a run at goal as soon as he came on but lost control at the key moment. Looked to be positive and make things happen and hit the barwith what would have been the goal of the game.
Dylan Morgan – 6: Replaced Watson on 62 minutes. Couldn’t make an impact.
