Dan Dakich exposes Caitlin Clark’s ‘blatant lie’ over friendship with ‘jealous’ Angel Reese

Former NCAA guard Dan Dakich isn’t buying Caitlin Clark’s response about Angel Reese.
Team USA concluded its 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup run with a gold medal following a 97-79 win over France.
One of the biggest talking points from the tournament was the elite partnership of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, who are often viewed as fierce rivals in the WNBA.
Keeping that in mind, one reporter asked Clark if she has now become friends with Reese following their time together on Team USA. Clark immediately snapped and mentioned they have always been friends.
Former NCAA guard and coach Dan Dakich addressed this response from Clark on X, claiming it was a ‘blatant lie.’
“Well when little Catie, aka Caitlin Clark, speaks, we’re all supposed to genuflect even when she tells us blatant lies. She and Angel Reese have been opponents for a long time.
“And at least from the side of Angel Reese, she has always, and we can see it clearly with our own eyes, been jealous or hateful, whatever you want to call it, Caitlin Clark,” Dakich said.
He added, “I mean, it’s well documented… She stood up in front of the media when she was asked by Outkick about her relationship with Angel Reese. Little Catie Clark decided to try to gaslight us.”

While it’s true that Clark and Reese have shared a fierce rivalry since their NCAA days, which has carried over to the WNBA, they have rarely come out and said that they hate each other.
Dakich, however, believes there has always been an understanding that Reese never liked Clark and the Indiana Fever star is now trying to gaslight her own fans.
