Daniel Cormier agrees with Joe Rogan’s nickname for UFC standout who is more ‘dangerous’ than he was in his prime

Daniel Cormier has admitted that he feels Joe Rogan made the perfect assessment of one UFC star who is even more of an animal than he was in his fighting career.
Both Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier were alongside Jon Anik in the UFC commentary team for UFC 331, which featured Arman Tsarukyan’s return to action in MMA.
Arman Tsarukyan stepped into the octagon against Mauricio Ruffy and the 29-year-old Armenian and Russian MMA fighter chalked up his sixth consecutive win.
The UFC lightweight sealed a stunning first-round victory over Mauricio Ruffy at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and deeply impressed Cormier with his overall display.
McGregor has just one fight left in the UFC before he is free to fight wherever he wants.
Speaking on his podcast, Joe Rogan talked up Arman Tsarukyan’s affluent background and the UFC star’s desire to keep fighting when he doesn’t need to do it.
The 59-year-old UFC color commentator even dubbed Tsarukyan ‘Bruce Wayne’ because of the money that has continued to surround him since he was a youngster.
Speaking on his YouTube channel after UFC 331, Daniel Cormier admitted that he feels the same way about the nickname that Rogan bestowed on Tsarukyan.
The 47-year-old claimed that Tsarukyan might be “even more dangerous” than he ever was because he is fighting for the thrill of it rather than the money.
“Joe Rogan called him Bruce Wayne, the Batman,” ‘DC’ said.
“That’s his new nickname because fighting me was dangerous because I was fighting to change my life, my kids’ life and my whole family’s life.
“Fighting a kid who doesn’t need this, like Arman Tsarukyan, who’s rich and just fighting because he wants to fight, might be even more dangerous because he doesn’t need this.
“He’s doing this for the love of fighting. That’s crazy, and he’s getting better every single time. Congratulations to Arman Tsarukyan.”
Tsarukyan has only two defeats under Dana White’s MMA promotion and Cormier felt that the lightweight put on a career-best performance at the weekend.
“It was probably Arman’s best performance,” Cormier explained.
“He needed that. He needed to find a way to secure his position as the number-one contender. I was watching Hunter Campbell, Dana White, as Arman walked out, and the way the crowd reacted to him, you could see the interest.
“Arman managed to go off into the world, make himself undeniable in a way that didn’t even take him fighting inside of the octagon. That’s hard to do.
“Arman Tsarukyan did enough to become a bigger star without using the UFC’s platform, and he really should be commended for that because that’s a hard thing to do.”
Tsarukyan’s last defeat inside the octagon came against Mateusz Gamrot at the UFC Apex for UFC Vegas 57 in Nevada in 2022.
