Darren Till gets new opponent option as BKFC sign 21-fight UFC rival who beat him

BKFC star Darren Till may have his next fight lined up with the promotion having signed his old rival.
This past September, Darren Till made his second appearance in BKFC when he took on fellow UFC veteran, Yoel Romero, at BKFC 94 in Manchester.
Till went on to beat Romero over five rounds, maintaining his unblemished record inside the squared circle, potentially setting up for another big fight.
And now, ‘The Gorilla’ will have a new opponent option as this Monday morning, the soaring promotion announced the signing of one of Till’s old rivals.
The MMA landscape is arguably in the best position its ever been in with there being several big options outside of the UFC.
BKFC have announced that they have signed 21-fight UFC veteran, Derek Brunson, with the 42-year-old finally set to make his return to combat sports after over two years out. The former UFC middleweight contender was scheduled to compete on GFL 1, but their ongoing issues led to his fight being canceled.
And the promotion has announced that Brunson will make his debut on Friday November 20 at BKFC Fight Night Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with his opponent still to be confirmed. If ‘The One’ is able to pick up a debut win, he would immediately become a potential option for Till.
The pair first fought back in 2021 in a UFC Fight Night main event in Vegas, and Brunson came out on top when he submitted Till in the third round to pick up his 14th UFC win. “We’re honored to have Derek Brunson sign with BKFC,” Dave Feldman said in a press release. We’ve long admired his world class skills and can’t wait to see him in the Squared Circle. We’re positive he’s going to make some serious noise fighting for BKFC.”
“I’m excited to compete again. I’ve been training for the past three years, getting my younger guys ready. Time to get back out there and have some fun. I have a very strong grind in me right now,” Brunson said regarding his signing.
In the meantime, Till could be set for a fight against Tommy Fury, with the promotion having put a deadline on that potential fight with there still being a few issues to overcome. Despite that, the former UFC welterweight title challenger still has his eyes on a potential fight against former boxing champion, Carl Froch, with his options continuing to grow.
