Dehradun Warriors Claim Victory in Women's Uttarakhand Premier League 2026 Final

In a thrilling conclusion to the Women’s Uttarakhand Premier League 2026, the Dehradun Warriors triumphed over the Mussoorie Queens at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. The Warriors successfully defended their score of 115/9, with Neelam Bhardwaj earning the title of Player of the Match and also being recognized as Player of the Tournament for her exceptional all-round performance throughout the league.

Set a target of 116 runs, the Mussoorie Queens struggled to chase down the total despite a late surge from Garima Vashisth and Dipika Chand. As the match progressed, they needed 30 runs from the last 15 balls, but the dismissal of Garima in the 18th over proved costly. Ultimately, the Queens finished their innings at 100/7 after 20 overs, falling short of the target. Amisha Bahukhandi stood out with the ball, taking 3 wickets.

Winning the toss, Mussoorie Queens' captain Nandini Kashyap opted to bowl first. The Warriors faced early setbacks, losing their captain Shweta Mohan Verma for a duck and Karry shortly after, leaving them in a precarious position. Neelam Bhardwaj anchored the innings with a solid 48 runs off 46 balls, supported by Preeti Bhandari's quick 26 runs. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the Warriors managed to post a total of 115/9.

For the Mussoorie Queens, Pooja Raj was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 29 runs in her four overs, while Nisha Mishra delivered an impressive performance with figures of 1/12.

The chase began positively for the Mussoorie Queens, reaching 30/0 after five overs. However, a series of quick wickets, including that of Aarti Bhandari, led to a middle-order collapse, leaving them at 43/4 after 10.3 overs. By the end of 12 overs, they were at 48/4, needing 68 runs from the remaining 48 balls. Despite a valiant effort from Garima and Dipika, the pressure proved too much, and the Warriors clinched the title.
