Dillian Whyte makes Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua prediction as two outcomes stand out

Dillian Whyte has been forced to climb off the fence and make a real prediction for how the mega-fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will play out.
The 38-year-old British heavyweight fighter has his history with both boxing superstars Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury inside the squared circle.
Joshua inflicted the first defeat on Dillian Whyte’s record after he secured a stunning TKO win in the seventh round of their 2015 fight at The O2 Arena in London.
Fury, on the other hand, successfully defended the WBC title against Whyte in 2022 after the ‘Gypsy King’ scored a sensational sixth-round TKO win at Wembley.
Netflix has announced that the UFC CEO will co-promote the monumental event in Cardiff – but Eddie Hearn insists that is not happening.
The all-British showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury was announced last week, despite rumblings that the long-awaited boxing clash could fall through.
Fury and Joshua are expected to meet inside the squared circle at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11, with Netflix to broadcast the super-fight.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Dillian Whyte was initially reluctant with his prediction before asking questions about the recent performances of Joshua and Fury.
“Boy, I don’t know, man,” he said.
“I don’t know because what they’ve shown us lately, it’s very hard to say because Tyson’s had two comeback fights, but they’re against not the best opponents.
“You know, obviously, the Russian guy [Arslanbek Makhmudov] he fought; he doesn’t hit as hard as ‘AJ.’ His feet [are] not as good as ‘AJ.’ He’s not as well-boxed as AJ. And then he fought Mariusz Wach.
“Mariusz Wach is a tough guy, but he’s long gone past his best. And then [Kristian] Prenga [came] out and almost knocked ‘AJ’ out in one minute. So, it’s very difficult. I need to wait a little bit and see how they’re training.”
However, Whyte was pushed for a prediction, and he admitted that either Joshua would knock Fury out or the ‘Gypsy King’ would outpoint ‘AJ’ on the night.
“AJ by knockout or Fury by points or vice versa,” he added.
Whyte admitted that he was baffled by how susceptible Joshua was to punishment from Kristian Prenga, while Brit Fury left much to be desired against Mariusz Wach.
“I honestly can’t say [a fight prediction] because it was mad,” he explained.
“‘AJ’ was getting dropped with like one-inch uppercuts. It was mad that he was getting dropped with shots like that, you know, from Kristian Prenga [who] was slow, but he seemed to be strong. And then Tyson, he looked a bit fleshy and a bit slow in his last fight.
“So, I don’t know. I don’t know, man. And Tyson’s also ageing as well. Hard fight with [Deontay] Wilder or something that might have taken something of him. I don’t know.”
A face-to-face meeting between Joshua and Fury had been tipped for Wednesday in London before the press conference was plunged into doubt over the fight’s status.
