Discover your Path at Courtenay Evergreen Club’s Open House

Come “Discover your Path” at the Evergreen Club’s Open House on Wednesday, September 23rd from 10 am to 2 pm at the Florence Filberg Centre, 411 Anderton Ave, Courtenay.

The Evergreen Club is a social and recreational club for adults aged 55+. It is a program of the non-profit organization Courtenay Recreational Association (CRA). The Evergreen Club has 2000+ members and operates out of the Florence Filberg Centre with support from the City of Courtenay.

This is your chance to come see all that the Evergreen Club to offer! Community members from across the Comox Valley (and beyond) are invited to come experience our welcoming, inclusive and supportive Club.

Come explore the many displays of our Activity Clubs in a friendly, interactive environment throughout the building. Volunteers (and staff) will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about our Clubs, dining lounge, volunteering opportunities, special events, and members’ bus trips. There will be demonstrations, activities, info booths, entertainment and door prizes! You can try your hand at Darts, Karaoke, Bingo, Table Tennis, and more! See how Mah-jong or Canasta are played, or make a mini flower bouquet with the Floral Arts Club. Drop into the Games Room and take a few shots on our snooker or 8 ball tables. Stop to chat to our many Club activity reps or admire the variety of craft groups as they work on their current projects. Meet the Second Stage Players (the Evergreen Drama Club), who would be delighted to tell you about their annual theatrical productions. Take a break with a complimentary beverage and treat at our “Coffee House” in the Conference Hall and enjoy the entertainment presented by some of our Club’s musicians and singers.

Our Evergreen Dinning Lounge will be fully open for lunch with a $8.50 hot meal special as well as soups, sandwiches, salads, and baked goodies. Perhaps plan to stay for lunch or a snack during your visit?
