Eddie Hearn reacts to talk of Dana White attending return of 12-0 boxing star he may want to poach

The Matchroom Boxing boss doesn’t expect to see Dana White in Birmingham this Saturday.

It is a busy week for Eddie Hearn, who was on stage at the launch press conference for Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua on Wednesday night in London.

On Thursday, the British promoter was back on the mic, this time ahead of Ben Whittaker’s return against Conor Wallace.

There’s been talk that Hearn could be under the same roof as his rival, Zuffa Boxing chief Dana White, during the fight on October 3 amid talk of the American pursuing Whittaker.

Dana White has claimed to be open to a boxing match with Eddie Hearn: Who do you think would win if they met in the ring?

Hearn and White’s promoter feud has been getting more and more heated since the UFC president started his boxing venture at the start of 2026.

The animosity between the pair picked up when Conor Benn jumped ship from Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing to Zuffa Boxing.

Talk of White poaching another of Hearn’s stars reached the surface this week after Whittaker hinted at the Zuffa Boxing boss attending his upcoming IBF light-heavyweight final eliminator.

But while the 2020 Olympic silver medalist has seemed to flirt with the idea, Hearn clarified that the charismatic English fighter is contractually locked down.

“He’s not even one year into a three-year deal,” Hearn said during an interview with The Fight Wire.

“But what he does do is create great headlines. Sometimes I’m like, ‘Mate (what are you playing at?)

“It made me laugh that people thought Dana White might be coming to the show on Saturday,” he continued. “He didn’t even come to the AJ-Fury presser.”

Hearn referenced White’s absence from the Fury vs Joshua presser, which came amid rumors that the debate over the American’s involvement in the fight was putting it in jeopardy.

The UFC boss was thanked by Turki Alalshikh on Wednesday, but his name was absent from the list of official promoters for the ‘Battle of Britain’ megafight on December 11.
