Endrick on AS Roma’s Radar Amid Lack of Playing Time at Real Madrid

Endrick is once again under the spotlight at Real Madrid, although this time not because of his goals. The Brazilian forward continues to wait for an opportunity to showcase his talent and, as the weeks go by, his situation is beginning to raise questions about what could happen during the winter transfer window.

The forward has played just four minutes in LaLiga this season. The injury he suffered during preseason delayed his start, but his return has not translated into a bigger role under José Mourinho.

Meanwhile, the competition for places in attack continues to grow, with Carlos Espí beginning to earn more opportunities. Endrick is once again in the position of being at one of the biggest clubs in the world without the regular playing time he needs.

The situation could open the door to a potential departure. According to Corriere dello Sport, AS Roma remain interested in Endrick and would be willing to make another attempt to sign him in January after the move failed to materialize last summer.

The proposed deal would reportedly be a loan with an option to buy, an arrangement that would allow the Brazilian to find playing time without Real Madrid having to permanently part ways with him. The Italian club had already tried to secure his services previously.

The strongest argument for considering another loan comes from what happened last season. Endrick joined Olympique Lyon and found the regular playing time he had been missing in Madrid. In 21 matches, he recorded eight goals and five assists, regaining prominence and confidence.

That form also helped him return to the plans of Brazil. During the recent international break, Carlo Ancelotti gave him minutes in the matches against Australia and India.

Despite the rumors, a departure does not appear to be a decision that has been made. Even so, his camp has already highlighted the importance of playing time for his development. His father, Douglas Ramos, previously said that his son had rediscovered his happiness during his time in France and questioned the lack of opportunities he had received in Madrid.

If the minutes continue to be hard to come by, January could become the moment when the Brazilian has to choose between continuing to wait for his opportunity at the Bernabéu or looking for it elsewhere.
