Ex-NBA stars Delonte West and Michael Beasley will fight on Brand Risk Promotions

Former NBA stars Delonte West and Michael Beasley are set to do battle in the ring – instead of on the court.

West and Beasley will square off on the 16th edition of Adin Ross’ boxing show Brand Risk Promotions in Miami, Florida. The event takes place on October 16, and also features a clash between adult film star Celina Powell and former Baddies star Woah Vicky.

Beasley has fighting experience, having lost an MMA bout to Lance Stephenson earlier this year on Brand Risk. In that fight he was taken down and submitted, whereas this time around he will stay on the feet against West.

Beloved ex-player Michael Beasley gets another chance to crossover into fighting on October 16 when he takes on fellow baller Delonte West. The former teammates will compete in a celebrity boxing match on a star-studded show in Miami.

West did not have an easy time of it after leaving the NBA, infamously ending up homeless while battling addiction. He has now turned his life around and is 10 months sober, living in Florida where the fight takes place.

Beasley has been slightly more stable, and even fought with Lance Stephenson earlier this year. It was actually the latter who looked the more polished fighter, but neither trained particularly hard and it remains to be seen what shape Beasley will show up in for his boxing debut.
