Fans mock UFC Vegas 122 loser’s manager for announcing plan to appeal her ‘close decision’ defeat

Ketlen Souza’s team feels hard done by after Saturday’s event.

The Octagon was back inside the Meta Apex for UFC Vegas 122 on October 10, where ranked middleweight contenders headlined.

Before Brendan Allen submitted Christian Leroy Duncan in the main event, there were big wins for the likes of Jai Herbert, Andre Fili, and the retiring Niko Price.

Loopy Godinez was the winner in the lone women’s fight on the main card, but it’s safe to say that Souza’s manager disagreed with how the judges scored it.

Let us know your take on the middleweight's future in the comments!

Godinez’s women’s strawweight clash with Souza went the distance, with all three judges scoring the contest 29-28 in favor of the Mexican.

The decision stirred a debate on social media. Some went as far as to claim that the Brazilian was ‘robbed’, while others described it as a fair call in a tight fight.

One man who strongly believes Souza was unfairly denied a deserved win is her manager, Alex Davis.

In a post on social media, the Brazilian agent revealed that he is even planning to appeal the UFC Vegas 122 decision.

“This time, I am appealing. Someone must stand up to this kind of thing!” Davis wrote on X.

It is safe to say Souza and her manager do not have the support of many fans.

A number of them replied on social media disputing Davis’ suggestion that his fighter was robbed at UFC Vegas 122. They reminded him that “close fights are not robberies.”

“Stop crying, if you wanna go to the total (significant strikes), Loopy had 134 and your fighter had 80.”

“Your girl lost 1 and 3, stop it.”

“How you gonna appeal a unanimous decision?”
“This is the exact kind of fight that can go either way. No point appealing this, just work on improving and don’t blame judges.”
“She lost. The first round was close, she lost the third round bad, get over it.”

“There’s no reason for an appeal.”

“No robbery, but I would be also ok with 29-28 Ketlen.”
