Former Sixth Man Of The Year Accuses Paul George Of Destroying His NBA Career

Paul George has played 16 years in the NBA. Throughout those years, he has mostly stayed away from controversy both on and off the court. Well, maybe except for a 25-game suspension he got earlier this year when he was still with the Sixers.
But through his playing career, he’s been regarded as a good teammate. Even opposing fans love his style of play.
However, a former teammate of his has recently revealed that they haven’t been on speaking terms since 2020.
Harrell and George were once teammates with the Los Angeles Clippers. But an incident inside 2020’s Orlando Bubble fractured their bond beyond repair.
During Harrell’s interview with Scoop B Robinson, he spoke negatively about Paul George.
“I don’t make comments about that boy. Me and that boy don’t see eye-to-eye, and we ain’t on no terms, so I don’t make comments about him,” Harrell said about his non-existent relationship with George.
“Quite frankly, I don’t care. I stated that in the tribute interview I did as well, regarding how me and him got into it in that bubble situation. I feel like that had a strong trajectory on why the Clippers didn’t sign me back the following year, so I don’t make comments on him,” he further added.
The said incident happened in Game 2 of the 2020 Western Conference Finals. The two were involved in a heated, NSFW filled verbal exchange during a timeout. After that, their relationship did not mend.
As a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, Montrezl Harrell won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2020. That was the same year when his feud with Paul George happened.
But despite his brilliance, the Clippers inexplicably left Harrell to choose his next team via free agency. They simply opted not to bring him back. Of course, it’s unsurprising that the team chose PG over him. George was viewed as a franchise-caliber player while Harrell was a high-energy role player.
After his Clippers’ exit, the 6-foot-7 power forward bounced around the league before exiting in 2023 – at just the age of 29. He’s reportedly plotting a comeback via the G-League.
