Former St Kilda forward Isaac Keeler spotted training at Port Adelaide ahead of pre-season

Former St Kilda forward/ruck Isaac Keeler is training with Port Adelaide as he hunts an AFL lifeline.
Keeler was delisted by the Saints after 13 games in four seasons. He immediately returned home to South Australia and appears set to joint he Power.
The 22-year-old joined a small group of Power players at club headquarters on Monday morning to get a head start on pre-season training.

While Keeler hasn’t technically joined Port Adelaide, he appears destined to officially sign either as a delisted free agent or a rookie.
The introduction of the new Category B rookie rules for Indigenous players means he also wouldn’t cost the club a list spot.
Still just 22 years of age, Keeler has shown plenty of potential as a key forward with the ability to pinch-hit in the ruck.
Port Adelaide list boss Jason Cripps recently confirmed they were exploring the possibility of signing Keeler.
“We’ve had some conversations with Isaac and his management group,” Cripps told SEN earlier this month.
“He’s been delisted by St Kilda, but there’s a new rule around the Category B Rookie spot. We’re investigating that further and what that may look like with Isaac.”
Likely No.1 draft pick Dougie Cochrane was also at the club on Monday morning.
The father-son is widely expected to join the Power with the first pick in next month’s draft.
Port Adelaide don’t actually own the pick, but have enough to points to match a bid from Essendon on draft night.
The teenager is the standout player in this year’s draft pool and will likely slot straight into the senior team next year.
