France have Team USA fans scared despite dominant win over Czech Republic at FIBA World Cup

France’s latest performance at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup is bad news for Team USA.
Team USA and France are the two juggernauts of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, as both teams have clinched a spot in the knockout stages.
If all goes well, the two sides will lock horns during the gold medal match of the tournament. While much has been said about Team USA’s strengths and weaknesses, basketball fans recently turned focus on the French side.
Team USA moved on to the next round of the tournament following a dominant 105-64 win. On the other side of the bracket, France blew out Nigeria in a 111-56 display.
The most notable aspect of the victory was France’s lights-out shooting from deep as they made a record 21 three-pointers. This has become a cause for worry for Team USA fans ahead of the knockout stages.
“We lose to France with these inane, favor-veteran-first lineups and starter decisions,” a fan wrote. While another added, “They’re shooting really well today.”
“Them USA vets better wake up right now, cause France is looking scary,” a third fan demanded.
“They’re going to smoke the US,” a fourth fan announced. “USA doesn’t stand a chance,” a fifth fan concluded.

Even with the likes of Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, and Angel Reese on Team USA’s roster, fans currently believe they won’t be a match for the current French team unless the veteran stars of the team improve their form.
