Christian Edwards showcased his true potential earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 26, 2026) at UFC Vegas 121 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the light heavyweight prospect smoked Brazilian striker Rodolfo Bellato with a third-round TKO (punches).

This was expected to be a firefight on paper. Bellato, who was coming off a memorable knockout win over touted prospect Luke Fernandez, was a sizeable betting favorite, but Edwards comes from a great team and was finally given a full camp to prepare unlike his short-notice UFC debut, which he lost. Edwards possessed the size and strength, but Bellato packs one hell of a punch.

The first round was nearly disastrous for Edwards as Bellato caught him flush and scored a big knockdown. Bellato tried to finish with strikes and nearly locked up a submission as well, but Edwards survived. Edwards came back to regain momentum in the second by using his longer reach and solid clinch control along the cage. He amped his efforts up in the third and ended up catching Bellato with a huge left hand. Bellato toppled to the canvas and Edwards rushed in for the finishing touches.
