Holyport appoint Harry Pelling to lead Reserves' revival

Holyport FC have named Harry Pelling as the club’s new reserve team manager.
Pelling will join Callum Parker-Stubbs and Nick Phillips in the reserves dug out as they attempt to lift the side away from the lower reaches of the Thames Valley Premier League.
The Reserves are 13th in the table having picked up only four points from their first eight matches.
Pelling watched the club fightback for a deserved 3-3 draw at home to Reading YMCA on Wednesday last week, while the Reserves lost 3-2 at home to Sandhurst Royals in the Charles Twelvetree Trophy on Saturday.
Pelling joins the club following a successful four-year period managing Marlow’s reserve / development team. Last season he guided the Blues to a third placed finish in the Hellenic Alliance League.
While managing the reserves he will also work with first team managers Lee Ovens and Dan Rapley to bring players through from the reserves to the first team.
Pelling said: “It’s a new opportunity for myself, a new challenge and I’m buzzing to get started, there’s lots of work to do but there’s excellent foundations already in place here”
Club chairman Tony Andrews added: “It’s a great time to be involved, and we can’t wait to see what Harry, Callum and Nick can bring to the Reserve Team. Welcome to the club Harry.”
