“Hot Take Merchant” “Making Things Up”: NFL Fans Call Out Russell Wilson Over Bold Joe Burrow Take During First NFL ‘GameDay’ Appearance as Analyst

Russell Wilson, the quarterback, has already retired, but Russell Wilson, the TV analyst, has now made his debut on CBS Sports. One of the first things he talked about on air was Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, predicting that if they do not do well this season, the quarterback might leave.
“If it doesn’t go well in Cincinnati this year, Joe Burrow is gone,” said Wilson.
Some believe Burrow, who once led the Bengals to the Super Bowl but lost, is unhappy in Cincinnati right now, which makes Wilson’s prediction more likely. However, fans were still not happy with the rookie analyst’s take.
“Already a hot take merchant, good lord,” said one person.
“Why are people just making things up??” asked another.
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will open the new season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. A win could show that the Bengals are going all-in this season, or this could lead to yet another disappointing season for Cincinnati fans.
As to why Bengals fans are confident Joe Burrow will stay with the team, it is because he told Bengals.com in an interview that he wants to stay in Cincinnati despite rumors that he wants out.
“I’m here for the long haul,” Burrow said. “I’m not going anywhere. I’m just trying to bring a now-or-never mentality to the day-by-day process. If you’re not, what are you doing? Attack the day with a championship mindset. The rest will take care of itself.”
For now, Burrow is focusing on the new season, as his showdown against the Bucs will kick off their campaign and see if he will truly stick around or not.
