Hull FC have appointed a new member of performance staff, with long-serving Hull KR rugby operations coordinator Sue Thompson set to join the club.
The latest performance appointment at Hull ahead of the 2027 season, Sue has been part of Rovers for over 15 years but will leave the club at the end of the season - as confirmed by the Robins at their annual awards night on Saturday - to join the Black and Whites.
A statement from Hull KR read: “Rugby Operations Coordinator Sue Thompson will leave Hull KR following her contribution behind the scenes to the day-to-day running of the club’s rugby operations.
“Sue has been a huge part of the Robins' backroom team for over 15 years. Everybody at the club would like to thank Sue for her contribution throughout her time at Sewell Group Craven Park and wish her and her family all the best for her future endeavours.”
Considered to be another key piece of Hull's new-look performance staff, Sue will join incoming head coach Steve McNamara at Hull next season, along with new assistant coach Scott Taylor, head of performance Jimmy McDaniel, and physiotherapists Nathan Mill and Dave Ferguson.
Elsewhere, Hull are also expected to bring in Josh Drinkwater to their coaching department, as first reported by Hull Live last month, although the move is still to be confirmed by the club.
Those changes will see the likes of assistant coach Simon Grix depart the club to join Castleford Tigers next season, while director of rugby and wellbeing Gareth Ellis will take up a new role within the sport. A full round-up of end-of-season exits can be read here.
