Hull FC star Will Pryce reaches recovery milestone ahead of pre-season

Hull FC star Will Pryce has reached a major milestone in his recovery as he edges towards full fitness once more.
Pryce has been out since February after rupturing his ACL in the round two clash with Wigan Warriors. The injury means he sat out of what was a difficult campaign for the Black and Whites, with the club struggling to find traction throughout before finishing 11th in the Super League table.
The playmaker will be keen to help the club turn over a new leaf successfully under incoming boss Steve McNamara then next season, but before he can think about playing again, he must complete his recovery.
Pryce has been working hard on his fitness during his time away and he posted on Instagram this week, eight months after suffering the injury, to show the strides he is taking over the off-season.
In short video posted on his stories, Pryce can be seen running on a Alter-G treadmill, designed to reduce body weight by up to 80 per cent while running.
It's often the first step towards being able to run again as normal, with medical staff being able to increase or reduce the load depending on the progress and pain felt by the player. The video was accompanied by the caption: "First one back".

With FC's pre-season due to begin on Monday, November 2, the hope is that Pryce will be able to return to full training at some point over the coming months and once he does that, the countdown towards a playing return will well and truly be on.
It's fair to say Pryce's time at Hull has been characterised by injuries so far. The former Newcastle Knights man struggled with hamstring and foot issues during his first season with the club and the ACL injury severely dominated his second year.
As a result, he has made just 12 appearances for Hull since joining in March 2025 and he'll no doubt be keen to make a real impact next season.
