JioGames brings Cricket 26 to India through cloud gaming Pro Pass

JioGames has added Cricket 26: The Official Game of the Ashes to its cloud gaming service in India, bringing the premium cricket title under its Pro Pass subscription. The game can be streamed across supported phones, browsers, TVs and Jio set-top boxes without requiring users to buy dedicated gaming hardware.

The service is open to users across mobile and broadband operators. Pro Pass plans for non-Jio users start at ₹48, with other options priced at ₹98 and ₹398. Jio users can get a ₹100 discount on eligible plans, bringing some plans down to ₹298.

Cricket 26 includes several game modes, including Management Career, an expanded Ashes mode, Pro Team, multiplayer and an Academy creation suite.

The title is being delivered through JioGames’ cloud gaming platform. That means the game runs remotely and is streamed to the user’s device, reducing the need for a high-end console or gaming PC at home.

For Indian players, this changes the usual purchase model for premium sports games. Instead of buying the title separately, users can access it through the Pro Pass subscription.

JioGames says the title can be accessed through Chrome on desktops and laptops, the JioGames app on Android and iOS, Jio set-top boxes and Android TV.

The company is also offering a one-year Pro Pass bundle with a gaming controller.

Cloud gaming quality still depends heavily on internet speed, latency and connection stability, which means the actual experience can vary across networks and locations.

Cricket remains one of the biggest mass-market gaming themes in India, so adding a licensed Ashes title gives JioGames a recognisable game for its subscription push.

The addition of Cricket 26 gives JioGames another premium title as cloud gaming platforms compete to make higher-end games playable on cheaper hardware.
