Joe Rogan wouldn’t be surprised if Arman Tsarukyan is snubbed again for a UFC lightweight title shot

Joe Rogan has advocated for Arman Tsarukyan to be the next lightweight title challenger, but there is another fight he could see happening.
This coming Friday, Arman Tsarukyan returns to action when he steps back on the RAF Wrestling mats to take on Dillon Danis in the RAF 14 main event.
His last fight in the UFC came back in September, when Tsarukyan knocked out Mauricio Ruffy in the first round of their UFC 331 co-main event fight, putting him another step closer to a lightweight title fight.
And although he is undoubtedly the deserved number one contender, Joe Rogan has admitted that he could see a different fight happening for the champion, Justin Gaethje, next.
Who could ever claim to deserve a shot above 'Batman' following his massive KO
‘Batman’ has been the rightful contender for some time now, but he has been in the UFC’s bad books after withdrawing from his previously scheduled title fight against Islam Makhachev. Since then, he has competed 17 times, with only two of them having come under the UFC banner.
And despite the fact that the 30-year-old seems set to fight ‘The Highlight’ for the lightweight title next, Rogan believes that Gaethje could end up picking to fight Charles Oliveira next instead.
Oliveira is set to defend his BMF title against Diego Lopes in the final fight of the year at UFC 335, and with a win, he puts himself back into the lightweight title picture. “155lbs is all hanging on whether Justin decides to retire, what does he do, who does he fight?” Rogan said in a recent episode of his podcast.
“I think Arman’s the fight, the big fight is Arman, especially after what Arman did to Ruffy, that’s the big fight, and also, that’s the most compelling fight because Arman looks like indestructible. He looks like the guy… He’s really f—— good and that’s the fight. However, if I was Justin and I was looking at the landscape and I’m like, ‘who shall I fight?’ If Oliveira wins in his next fight and retains his BMF title and then Justin fights him in a rematch for the BMF and lightweight title together, I could see that fight too.
“But then it seems like you’re denying Arman what he deserves, he deserves a title fight,” Rogan continued.
Unfortunately for ‘Batman’, he continues to let himself down with his antics outside of the UFC. On Friday, he is scheduled to wrestle Dillon Danis in the RAF 14 main event, and ahead of their clash, they met on stage this Thursday for a press conference.
The press conference ended early after everything erupted and Tsarukyan and Danis got involved in a huge brawl, with the Armenian star throwing a punch in the direction of the controversial grappler. Those antics in the past have affected his position in the UFC, with the promotion holding it against him.
