Boxing legend Katie Taylor is set to make a stunning seven-figure purse for her Croke Park fight.

Taylor, who is regarded as one of the greatest female boxers in history, has enjoyed a glittering amateur and professional boxing career, having won an Olympic gold medal at the 2012 Summer Games in London and become undisputed world champion in the pro ranks.

She's beaten the likes of Natasha Jonas, Chantelle Cameron and Amanda Serrano (x3) during her stellar pro career and is credited with raising the profile of women's boxing at home and abroad.

The proud Irishwoman meets Flora Pili in the final fight of her iconic pro career in a contest that will be staged at Dublin's famous Croke Park. A sold-out crowd of more than 80,000 is expected in what is being billed as one of the biggest moments in women's sports history, with promoter Eddie Hearn calling it the 'biggest night' of his career.

The Matchroom chief said: "I’ve never been so excited. This will be the biggest night I’ve ever been involved with. I’ve got my daughter with me, and we came through the airport, and every other person knows about Saturday. I just can’t wait to feel it, and I know it will be unbelievably emotional."

Taylor is no stranger to big purses, having headlined at New York City's iconic Madison Square Garden and fought on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.

On both occasions, she fought Puerto Rican superstar Serrano, and in three fights against her, the 40-year-old is believed to have made a reported £12 million.

However, the purse for her Croke Park bout is expected to be a reported £2.6 million to £4.4 million, according to Business Plus. It is believed she will take home at least £1.7 million.

Given Taylor is the main attraction for Saturday's blockbuster event, she could take a piece of the gate revenue, which is set to generate close to £6 million.

She could also benefit from any other bonuses stipulated in her contract.

Taylor's net worth is estimated to be around £15 million, making her one of the highest-paid and wealthiest Irish sports stars in history.

Her fortune has grown significantly following a series of high-profile matches, including her trilogy against Serrano, which includes an eye-watering purse of £4.4 million for their Texas showdown and record-breaking event revenue splits.

Taylor's net worth is also built on a slew of lucrative endorsements and business investments. She is sponsored by sportswear brand Champion and her company, KT Sports Ltd, holds accumulated profits and real estate investments.

Accounts for her Irish-registered company show retained earnings of £1.26 million as of June 2025, but the company has made losses in back-to-back years.
