Kevin Kelsy 'knows' he is Rangers handball sinner as Tim Sherwood tells Venezuelan what he should have done

Kevin Kelsy knew he was guilty of handball before the second Rangers goal against Kilmarnock and should have passed the ball.

That's according to Sky Sports pundit Tim Sherwood, who is convinced the Light Blues frontman got away with one at the weekend.

Kelsy controlled Dan Neil's cross on the edge of the Killie box but then lost his footing.

It looked as if the £9million man handled on the deck before picking himself up and firing beyond Callum Ferrie to double Gers' advantage.

VAR Grant Irvine opted not to intervene after a check and the goal stood, wth Derek McInnes' side going on to beat his former club 3-1.

The incident was reviewed on Sky Sports' Ref Watch segment and former English Premier League whistler Dermot Gallagher admitted he couldn't be sure either way from the footage.

He said: "There is a moment, but does it hit the hand? To disallow the goal, you have to be certain. If you are not certain, it has to be a goal."

But fellow pundit Tim Sherwood insisted the Venezuelan knew fine well he'd handled: "The striker is certain," he said. "He knows he's handled it.

"So he should pass then and it stands as a goal when someone else puts it in."

The following day, Celtic enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 win over Motherwell at Fir Park to send themselves back to the top of the table.

They had a shout for a second half penalty when Lukas Fadinger appeared to handle with an outstretched arm to divert Callum McGregor's strike wide.

And Gallagher believes the Austrian was a lucky boy.

He added: "This is really interesting because when you see it from one angle - Callum McGregor's angle - his arm looks as though it's out.

"But Callum McGregor just wants a corner.

"It's his back arm as well so if he gets penalised, he gets penalised. I think he got lucky."

Sherwood agreed: "He got lucky. He got very lucky."
