Kilkenny handballers claim All-Ireland titles in Croke Park

Kilkenny enjoyed more All-Ireland success in Croke Park over the weekend as two local teams recorded successes.
Ciarán Neary and Kyle Jordan claimed the Senior Doubles hardball title with a dominant victory over their Mayo opponents.
The Kilkenny duo defeated Vinny Moran and Paddy Murphy 21-4, 21-4 in the Senior Doubles final, producing an impressive performance to secure the All-Ireland crown.
Neary, of Talbots Inch, and Jordan, of Kilfane, teamed up for the first time this year in hardball and had already shown their form by coming through Saturday's round-robin qualifier with victories over Mayo and Galway.
The success marks a second All-Ireland Senior title this year for Jordan, while Neary claimed his first title at this grade.
The victory also adds another significant achievement to Neary's career as a long-time member of Talbots Inch, with the Kilkenny player now joining the ranks of club greats such as JJ Gilmartin, who has previously won the title.
There was further cause for celebration for Kilkenny in the Minor Doubles final, where Jake O’Neill of Kells and Mickey Power of O’Loughlins defeated their Cork opponents 21-17, 21-5 to complete a successful day for the county.
