Leaked email suggests Michael ‘Venom’ Page has been released following his win at UFC Paris

Michael ‘Venom’ Page’s UFC run appears to be over after just six fights.
The former Bellator star joined MMA’s premier promotion as a high-profile signing in 2024.
Five wins and one loss later, ‘MVP’ completed his contract at UFC Paris on Saturday night.
'MVP' was not offered a new contract despite winning 5 of his 6 UFC fights.
Michael ‘Venom’ Page outpointed Nursulton Ruziboev in a dreadfully boring fight in France.
Fans booed throughout, as they did during Page’s win over Sam Patterson earlier this year.
It seems that the Englishman’s fighting style has led the UFC to opt against re-signing him.
On Monday, MMA reporter John Morgan shared an email he’d received from the UFC on social media.
It shows Page is no longer eligible to be ranked after his apparent departure from the promotion.
“Dear Panellists, Michael Page has been removed from rankings eligibility effective immediately,” the email read.
“If you ranked him in your middleweight division already, we ask that you please re-rank that division to make sure you have 15 athletes.”
Michael ‘Venom’ Page didn’t think he’d be offered a new UFC deal after his win on Saturday.
“They weren’t happy with me before, they’re not gonna be happy with me now,” he said during his post-fight press conference.
“If I put myself in their shoes, it’s like, same thing. ‘We can sign him again, but are we gonna see much more?’”
At the time of writing, Page’s release hasn’t been officially confirmed by the fighter or the UFC.
