Follow Daily Mail Sport's live blog for updates as Liverpool host bitter rivals Manchester City in the 4.30pm kick-off as well as updates from the 2pm encounters between Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest as well as Hull City and Everton.

Manchester City have come to Anfield and faced the music for the first time since the independent commission delivered their verdict during the international break.

Enzo Maresca's side delivered a performance by securing a 3-0 victory against the 10-men of Liverpool.

The result keeps Man City top of the Premier League with Maresca's side remaining perfect with six wins out of six.

Their position will remain in the balance until the appeal and sanctioning processes are completed, with the Premier League remaining in a state of uncertainty.

City will feel they have made the perfect start to dealing with the noise around the club today though.

Thanks for joining us and stay across Daily Mail Sport for all the reaction from Anfield.

Andoni Iraola has expressed his frustration at the first of the two yellow cards received by Ryan Gravenberch, with Liverpool's ultimately reduced to 10-men.

We were the best team in the first game and then they were better.

The first one is not a yellow. Anderson carries on a couple of steps; he wasn't even going to give a foul. I've no idea why he gives a yellow card. We have like nine players behind the ball.

It's already difficult to press them when it's 11 v 11, but with one less, it becomes a different game and then we concede straight away before making a substitution.

You have to play differently when you're 1-0 down.

Manchester City delighted in a delirious dance with their own notoriety at Anfield on Sunday evening. The team belonging to the club branded the biggest cheats in English sporting history embraced their shame and laughed in the face of the scorn of the rest of football.

On the occasion of their first public outing since they were found guilty by an independent commission of 114 charges of financial chicanery, City defied the revulsion that has been visited upon them and waltzed past Liverpool, the team which suffered most from their cheating, with a comprehensive 3-0 victory. It was another bad day for a game reeling from what City have done to it.

The win restored their three-point lead over Arsenal at the top of the table and extended their record at the start of this season to six successive triumphs but as the football world waits to see whether their appeal succeeds or what their punishment will be, no one knows whether that matters or whether it is utterly meaningless.

Man City boss Enzo Maresca has said his side will need to deal with the noise at all of their matches from now on, but believes it can create 'togetherness' at the club.

Second half we made some adjustments and we were much better. In the build-up we were not doing the right things, second half we were better. I’m happy.

We need to learn how to deal with the noise because the noise will be with us at all of our away games - there will be noise.

We need to deal with that and make our noise. Our noise is to win games. The feeling at the end of the game with our fans and our noise, that's a nice feeling and a different noise.

I came here with City once before in the Treble season. It was nice to play this kind of game for the noise, the environment. We need to make our noise and deal with their noise.

It can create togetherness with the fans. I said during the week bring the passion, bring the noise and hopefully we can celebrate a win. This is the only thing we can focus on.

Gary Neville has admitted it was tough to commentate on Manchester City today in the wake of the guilty verdict.

The Sky Sports pundit claimed today's match has confirmed to him that the uncertainty over Man City's situation is 'really bad' for the Premier League.

At the end of the game it is hard.

You are imagining if the verdicts are confirmed, they will not be in the position they are in.

This is really bad for the Premier League, this is something that today has confirmed to me.

The word sham was used a lot. People will be thinking this is a sham league. Liverpool fans chanted cheats at Man City players and ‘going down’ to a team top of the league.

It is damaging right now.

He didn't duck any questions and he did not retreat into a defensive stance.

'We need to learn to deal with the noise,' he said.

They seemed to do that pretty well today.

It is hard to blame them for that but it emphasises the fact that English football is in a mess.

Erling Haaland, who grabbed City's opening goal, has expressed his pride at how his team-mates dealt with the situation at Anfield today.

It was tough, but we showed amazing character. Again, I am so proud of everyone.

It has always been tough here, but we stayed strong.

It’s always tough to come here in the Pep and Klopp era.

It’s time to stay strong and stick together and do what you can do something about, that is to play good football and to fight together because in the end, that's the only thing we can do.

Man of the match Elliott Anderson has praised the togetherness of the Man City side today, speaking to Sky Sports.

We really stuck together out there, fought for each other and played well. We've shown courage and three points is good.

[The atmosphere] was more than normal [pre match], arriving here and the first 10 minutes of the game.

I thought we did really well to quieten the crowd. We struggled in the first half a little bit, but in the second half we were a lot better.

Roy Keane has claimed Man City made a statement on the pitch today, with Maresca's side delivering despite the backdrop of the guilty verdict.

Their team made a statement today, they scored three terrific goals.

City in the last half an hour showed great quality. Doku changed the game on top of the sending off.

Enzo Maresca is beaming as he applauds the Man City away support.

The City players have gathered in front of their own fans applauding and taking the acclaim.

The camera pick out a smiling Haaland, who pumps them up even more.

Maresca: 'We need to learn how to deal with the noise because the noise'

Neville: 'This is really bad for the Premier League - people will be thinking this is a sham league'

'Maresca dealing with a desperately difficult situation as well as anybody could'

'City celebrations emphasise the fact that English football is in a mess.
