Maddison Levi headlines Australia Sevens squad to face Black Ferns

Australia Sevens have named their women’s and men’s squads for Friday’s Kick On 7s event in Rose Bay and the Bledisloe Cup quadruple header at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Saturday.

Australia women take on the Black Ferns while the Australia men take on Fiji across three matches over two days in Sydney.

Headlining the women’s squad is star Maddison Levi, who returns after playing in the Ultimate Sevens league in the off-season.

HSBC SVNS series regulars captain Isabella Nasser, Bienne Terita, Kaitlin Shave, Heidi Dennis and Faith Nathan have also been named.

Australia Women’s Sevens coach Reg Tayler said: “It’s a great opportunity to showcase Sevens to a big crowd, and the perfect hit out for us.

“There’s a great mix of experience and exciting new faces. You can expect a fit, energetic team that sticks together and sets the standard every time we take the field as we build towards Dubai.

“The girls have worked hard over the off-season, and I’m really happy with the squad.”

The Australian men’s squad features 11 players from the 2025-26 HSBC SVNS series including captain Henry Hutchinson, alongside Maurice Longbottom, Josh Turner, James Turner and Ben Dowling.

Tokyo Olympian Josh Coward returns to the squad, while ACT Brumbies Academy member Jarvis Orr and Bond Uni’s Deon Evans-Ao Leifi have received call ups.

Australia Men’s Sevens coach Liam Barry said: “It’s an exciting opportunity to play Fiji in such a special event across both Friday and Saturday’s matches.

“To have all four teams in Gold playing on the same day at Accor Stadium is unprecedented and something our team does not take for granted.”
