Mary Murray wins Letterkenny Hospital Golf Society Captain's Prize

Mary Murray has won the Letterkenny Hospital Golf Society Captain's Prize.

The Murray family have had a long association with the Letterkenny Hospital's Golf Society, going back to the late Paddy senior and more recently Patrick junior and his sister Mary.

On Friday last in excellent weather and on a Letterkenny Golf Club course in brilliant condition, Mary just pipped Kieran Doherty to win Bridget McClafferty’s Captain’s Prize.

Both players scored 37 points with Mary’s better back nine giving her victory.

Captain Bridget received many deserved plaudits for an impressive display of prizes and she thanks everyone for their help and support in making her big day an exciting and memorable event.

She also thanked Letterkenny Golf Club for hosting her Captain’s Prize and the catering staff for looking after the members so well in the clubhouse.

Winner: Mary Murray 37 points (bot). Runner-Up: Kieran Doherty 37pts. Third: Hugh McClafferty 36pts. Fourth: Kevin Mills 35pts.
