Mick Parkin wouldn’t teach anyone to fight like his ‘dangerous’ UFC 332 opponent Johnny Walker

Mick Parkin doesn’t know what to expect when he steps into the Octagon at UFC 332.
The top-15 heavyweight will be fighting for the first time since losing at UFC London in March 2025.
Tom Aspinall‘s sparring partner will welcome long-time light heavyweight contender Johnny Walker to his new division in Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 2.
Johnny Walker’s wild fighting style has led to many memorable moments during his eight-year run in MMA’s premier promotion.
The Brazilian fan favorite has knocked out elite-level fighters and made it look easy, but he’s also suffered 10 defeats during his 33-bout career.
Walker was known for his super-aggressive style, which he’s tried to change in recent years.
Mick Parkin says he’s got multiple game plans to deal with the different versions of his UFC 332 opponent.
The 30-year-old Englishman describes Walker as ‘dangerous’, even though he does a lot of stuff you wouldn’t teach a fighter to do.
“I think it’s going to be a crazy, explosive, athletic start where he is jumping around, or he might run away and try and point score with us,” Parkin said during an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow.
“Going to heavyweight, you think he’s going to think he’s going to be more fast and athletic than the bigger guys, and he might just run around. Maybe he’s worried about his chin. So I don’t know.
“I’m prepared for him to start fast and crazy. I’ve got a good game plan if he does go crazy. I’ve got a game plan if he looks to run. So we’ll just see on the night.
“You wouldn’t teach anybody to fight like that because of his technique. He’s there to be hit, but he’s also dangerous, and a flip of a coin sometimes. So I’ll not be taking any crazy risks.
“I think going swinging with him is just like flipping a coin. So I’m always trying to be a bit defensively sound.
Mick Parkin will face Johnny Walker on one of the weakest numbered UFC events of all time.
UFC 332 is set to be headlined by a vacant flyweight title fight between Natalia Silva vs. Wang Cong.
Valentina Shevchenko was supposed to main event, but she suffered injuries to her back and shoulder before vacating the 125lb belt.
